Parents should use radio, television or the EDB website to receive announcements on the closure of schools.
Primary
TYPHOON SIGNAL T3 RAISED BEFORE SCHOOL:
Primary classes take place as normal.
TYPHOON SIGNAL T8 OR ABOVE RAISED BEFORE SCHOOL:
Primary classes are cancelled. All children should remain at home.
TYPHOON SIGNAL T8 OR ABOVE RAISED DURING SCHOOL:
All parents will be notified and children will remain at school until it is safe for parents to collect them.
Lowering of TYPHOON signals:
When a typhoon signal is lowered to a Signal 3 or lower (or all signals are cancelled), primary classes will resume of the next school day.
AMBER RAINSTORM WARNING:
Primary remains open as usual, but please listen for further announcements/warnings.
RED OR BLACK RAINSTORM WARNING RAISED BEFORE SCHOOL:
No classes will take place that day. You should stay at home. If children arrive at school, they remain at school until it is safe to return home.
RED OR BLACK RAINSTORM WARNING RAISED DURING SCHOOL:
Children will remain at school until the end of normal school hours and conditions are safe for you to return home.
In extreme weather conditions please do not telephone the school unless it is absolutely necessary.
